Delayed Dismissal Procedures
Weather may present safety concerns.
When lightning is within 10 miles a Remind message will be sent to all staff, students, and parents/guardians. The message will indicate that a Delayed Dismissal is possible if lightning moves to within 5 miles of the school.
If lightning is within 5 miles according to the Base Weather station or the Weather Bug App, everyone is to remain in the building. Busses will also be delayed.
If dismissal is delayed all students will remain in their 6th Period class until the weather is safe for dismissal. Students will not be released to walk to the MTS or home until the weather is safe for dismissal.
***Parents may park and come into the office to sign out their students at anytime.***
