Assignment week of April 27- May 1st, PBS Nova/Written Assignment, Study Island Reading

Watch the PBS Nova video clip that is attached below, Energy Defined. Using a Google Docs you need to answer the 4 questions listed below. Keep in mind that each question is worth 5 points. You will need to restate the question and answer the question fully. Please make sure to use spell check/grammar check before submitting your work. It may be helpful to watch the video more than once.

Questions:
1) What is energy? Describe three forms of energy.
2) What is energy conversion?
3) When we use electricity to power our electronics, what other two, less useful, forms of energy often result?
4) Why do you think we will continue to need new energy sources?

In addition, visit Study Island and read pages 1-2 of the Energy lesson. All you need to do is read those pages this week, no need to do the review questions this week! However, as you read this material, keep in mind the connections between the reading and the video/written questions. You may use material from here to help you answer your video questions.
