Bienvenodos a la clase de español!  (welcome to Spanish class)

Dear Parents and Students,

My name is Blanca Ortiz, and I am the Spanish teacher for 6^th, 7^th, and 8^th grade students at CSMS. For the fall semester of 2020-2021 we  will only be offering Spanish to 7th graders. Spring 2021 may possibly offer Spanish to 6th and 8th graders.  I am happy to welcome you to Spanish class and look forward to a fun and exciting year. I graduated from Austin Peay State University with a Master’s Degree in Education, concentration in  Curriculum and Instruction and have two specializations, one in Leadership and another in Spanish Education. I have been teaching since 2003 and have been part of the FHASD family since 2016. I've been fortunate to have studied abroad in Mexico and in Spain for my undergraduate and graduate studies.

This quarter, instruction will be very different from what we are all accustomed, we will get through this pandemic together and will adjust instruction as needed. Every week I will post my assignments on Google Classroom webpage, exams are usually every Friday.
